Official and incontrovertible evidence of my nerdiness.

I woke up this morning with an unique kind of satisfaction, that of knowing that my mind has officially given me proof of my being a nerd. I dreamt about working on something academic with this teenaged girl - maybe as part of an outreach program? The girl was very smart. I was watching her do addition on a computer screen. Let me further qualify the last statement, she was doing binary addition. Something about her mathematics wasn't adding up, please excuse the pun. I remember being perplexed and struggling to understand why what she was doing seemed right while not immediately ringing a bell in my head. And then I remember feeling the warmth of understanding taking over me - the girl was doing 2's complement addition without showing the intermediate steps! That's a wowza moment for me!
